Blue Sky for GPN in Croatia
Production Services Agency Extends its Reach Into Eastern Europe
LOS ANGELES - With a film history studded with memorable classics including "Force Ten From Navarone," "The Great Escape" and "The Dirty Dozen," Croatia is no stranger to providing superb production support to international producers.
Global Production Network (GPN), in its continued efforts to provide access to credible production service providers for the commercial, music video and feature film industries, has signed Blue Sky Productions Croatia, for exclusive North American representation.
EPs Sabrina Allaria, a 22-year veteran of the Italian and African film markets, and Mario Svan, a filmmaker with more than 20 years in the business, run Blue Sky. They additionally oversee Blue Sky Kenya, where for more than a decade they have provided services to numerous commercials and feature films including; "Tomb Raider 2: Lara Croft & the Cradle of Doom," directed by Jan de Bont, and most recently Director Fernando Meirelles' "The Constant Gardener."
With vision and enthusiasm for developing emerging film markets, Allaria and Svan selected Croatia, one of the more diverse countries of Europe with respect to natural beauty and diversity, to open Blue Sky Croatia two years ago.
"Croatia is a diamond in the rough," says GPN founder Harry Tracosas. "The country is returning to the glory days of film production and Blue Sky is leading the effort."
