GPN Broadens European Access for Producers
Production Services Agency Adds Greece, Belgium and Ukraine

LOS ANGELES - Global Production Network (GPN) has signed Miracle Films of Greece, Acasa Esana of Belgium and Gulliver Films of the Ukraine for exclusive U.S. representation, thus continuing its expansion to offer premium production service capabilities to producers looking to shoot in Europe.

Located in Athens, Miracle Films is headed up by EP Annabelle Aronis, a commercial film producer with more than a decade of production experience in Greece. Recent Miracle Films projects include spots for: QANTAS (dir. Wayne Maule for Plush Films, Australia); Nestle (dir. Jean Louis Carrasco for Blue Marlyn, France); and Credit Agricole Bank (dir. Martin Weiner for Les Producers, France).

Although new in "name," Belgium's Acasa Esana, which launched in February 2004 with financing from the GAT Film Fund, is helmed by 12-year feature production vet Tharsi Vanhuysse. Vanhuysse's film credits include: Falling (2001) starring Jill Clayburgh; Molokai: the Story of Father Damien (1999) featuring Sam Neill, Peter O'Toole, Kris Kristofferson and David Wenham; Gaston's War (1997); and Lisa (1996).

Looking to the east, GPN has signed Kiev-based Gulliver Films. Founded in the summer of 1999 by EP Max Dankevich, the company is considered a pioneer and one of the largest production houses in the commercial-making industry in Ukraine. It has provided production services to directors such as: Joni Botha (South Africa), Eric Barbier (France), Mauro Salesi (Italy) and Niko Karo (Germany).
