GPN Expands Into Venezuela
Vagabond Films Signs With Global Production Network
LOS ANGELES - Global Production Network (GPN) continues to expand its production service base in South America with its signing of Vagabond Films of Caracas, Venezuela for exclusive North American representation.
Executive Producer and Owner Lorenzo Benedick is a film veteran who opened Vagabond Films in 1999. He oversees Vagabond from offices in New York, sharing his time between Caracas and Manhattan. Fully staffed in Caracas, Head of Production Yanire Yanez runs the day-to-day operations below the equator. "Having a New York base, we find that our clients can access our services easily, gather information quickly and have full confidence in our abilities," says Benedick.
Already producing with many European production companies such as Latchodrom/Belgium, Filmmaster/Italy and Albinana Films/Spain, Vagabond representation with GPN will increase its exposure in North America. The company has already produced projects for Hungry Man/USA with director Michael Cuesta and Identity/NY for director Laurent Chanez. Vagabond also works with Lowe Lintas/Netherlands, TBWA/Belgium and directly with Nokia.
"Venezuela has long been active in commercial production, its crews are excellent, the equipment is state of the art and production capabilities comparable to any in North America. With the addition of Vagabond Films, GPN can easily satisfy our clients needs when filming in Venezuela," says GPN's Harry Tracosas.
