Meet Aigency Amsterdam: Creativity Powered by AI

GPN Embraces AI: Aigency Amsterdam and the Future of Creative Production

GPN, the Global Production Network, is opening its doors to far more than traditional production companies. As the film and advertising industries evolve at an unprecedented pace, driven largely by the rise of artificial intelligence, GPN is actively transforming alongside them. With a long-standing reputation for excellence in production services, GPN is now expanding its scope to support clients and agencies working with this revolutionary new technology.

In 2025, GPN took a decisive step into the future by signing its very first AI-focused agency, Aigency Amsterdam, to its roster of highly talented and professional creatives. This move signals a clear shift in vision. GPN is not only responding to industry change but positioning itself at the forefront of it—pivoting, adapting, and helping shape what comes next.

Meet Aigency Amsterdam: Creativity Powered by AI

Aigency Amsterdam is a creative studio for global brands that specializes in synthetic production using photography, video, and sound to bring a brand’s ideas to life. Aigency Amsterdam has found its niche in commercial production by using AI to drive its production.

Aigency Amsterdam is the brainchild of Chrissie Cremers and Carina Snippe, and a natural creative evolution of their combined careers. Both women bring deep experience from the advertising world. Carina has held senior roles as Account Director and Client Lead, working closely with large global brands, while Chrissie’s background spans design, copywriting, and journalism. Together, they have combined strategy, storytelling, and technology to build one of Europe’s first, and most successful, AI agencies.

GPN’s decision to sign Aigency Amsterdam marked a bold move for a network traditionally rooted in production services. Yet GPN recognized early on that the future of production would not be defined by format alone, but by flexibility, innovation, and new ways of thinking. By welcoming Aigency Amsterdam into the network, GPN can offer clients around the world access AI-driven creative solutions alongside its established production expertise.

Aigency Amsterdam was founded in 2023, at a moment when both founders clearly saw what AI could become for advertising and film. Chrissie, with her copywriting background, quickly recognized how prompting AI allowed her to articulate and visualize ideas directly and intuitively. For her, it felt like an ideal creative extension by writing ideas into existence. Carina, meanwhile, saw the strategic implications. AI offered solutions to long-standing production challenges, particularly around licensing, usage rights, and buyouts.

In the fast-paced world of social media, where content cycles are incredibly short, traditional long-term licensing models are no longer viable. AI presented a way to create content that is faster, more flexible, and better aligned with how brands actually operate today. These were exactly the kinds of problems both founders had repeatedly encountered in their previous roles, and AI offered a compelling alternative.

Rapid Growth and Industry Recognition

Aigency Amsterdam launched at exactly the right moment. Within a year, the agency was winning awards and being showcased as “the most promising new agency in the Netherlands.” Since then, its growth has accelerated rapidly, attracting international clients and industry recognition. For GPN, this success reinforces a clear message: AI is not a passing trend, but a tool that is fundamentally reshaping the creative landscape. GPN is proud to represent this new format and to support the women pioneering it.

That forward-looking mindset is evident in how Aigency Amsterdam works with AI. Here, AI is not framed as a productivity hack or a replacement for human creativity. Instead, it is treated as a collaborator and an extension of the creative process that expands what is possible. For years, creative ambition has often been limited by budget constraints. Location shoots, sets, and large crews are costly. With AI, those limitations loosen dramatically, giving artists and directors far more room to experiment and explore.

Chrissie firmly believes that AI will revolutionize the film and creative industries. AI allows clients greater control over the final output and significantly reduces the need for long pre-production and production phases. Clients can make changes late in the process, something that is often impossible in traditional productions. At the same time, AI-driven productions can be more cost-effective, which is a major advantage for brands navigating shrinking budgets and faster timelines.

Addressing the Fear of Homogenization

If you can explore dozens of emotional directions early on, how does that change intuition? If you can see a world before it is built, how does that affect creative risk? These questions are actively reshaping how creatives work.

We are living in a period of profound transformation. Change is uncomfortable. It requires people to leave familiar territory and enter spaces that feel uncertain and risky. Unsurprisingly, AI is met with both resistance (often from older generations) and deep curiosity. That resistance creates pressure, and pressure drives change. This new landscape needs pioneers willing to explore, make mistakes, and learn. Aigency Amsterdam is doing exactly that, with GPN providing the support and confidence needed to move forward.

Understanding AI’s Limits

Chrissie is also clear-eyed about AI’s limitations. AI trains on existing material and relies on original, human-made content to evolve. As more synthetic content enters the ecosystem, dilution becomes a real risk. This will be one of the industry’s major challenges going forward. Yet history shows that culture adapts. Audiences may swing back toward more raw, authentic work. Time will tell.

What Chrissie is certain of is that AI will expand creativity into realms we have not yet imagined. The next generation will grow up as AI natives, and it will be fascinating to see how they shape this technology. In the future, AI will be part of almost every production, whether fully AI-generated or hybrid. It is already radically changing film and advertising.

Beginning on February 1st, Aigency Amsterdam will begin offering AI custom workflow creation, which helps clients set up AI workflows so they can create in-house. This is guided and supported by the experts at the agency. They are also introducing the Aigency’s Elite Team- a detachment of AI creative talent that brings a strong focus on female creatives and talent from diverse backgrounds. This offers equal opportunities to highly skilled, in-house trained creatives from all over the world. If you are curious about AI and how this works in the advertising industry, have a look at what these women are doing. It’s nothing short of exciting!

All eyes are now on Aigency Amsterdam, and on GPN, as they continue to explore what this future can become.
