Dave Campbell: GPN’S new US Rep!

We have some exciting news that we’d like to share with our GPN Community! We would like to welcome our newest Rep, Dave Campell of Rogue Rep., now responsible for the USA division of GPN. From now on, Dave is your direct and dedicated contact for all GPN-related projects, inquiries, and collaborations in the United States. Based in Los Angeles, he will be present at all major industry events. You can meet him this week at AICP in LA, soon at Ciclope in Berlin, and throughout the year at key festivals and conferences.

Dave, with 20 years of industry experience under his belt, began by working in top advertising agencies, such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Wieden + Kennedy, and Chiat/Day SF (to name only a few). He later gained traction and expertise in branding and marketing at Microsoft. In 2016, Dave launched his own talent management company, Rogue Rep, because he missed the creative agency and production business while working at Microsoft.

Rogue Rep has been working with an A-list of production companies around the world for the past 10 years. We could not think of a better person, with his hands-on approach to business, extensive background in production and creativity, and his passion for film and working with creatives, to represent us in a fast-paced and large market. Dave is well-connected, enthusiastic about working with a trusted network such as GPN, and is also ready to expand the Entertainment section of GPN while creating new and lasting connections with companies in the US and abroad.

He has been tirelessly working for the past ten years to build and grow his own base, in California and Texas. He’s been adding partners on a semi-regular basis and is versed in everything production: brand facing content, providing talent, and producing, and he has solid connections to directors, post production companies, sound designers, music, etc. Most of what he already does is aligned with how he will work for GPN.

Dave has known of GPN for years and knows that the companies that work for GPN have been vetted, are highly professional, and trustworthy. He’s happy to be a part of a company that has a solid reputation throughout the industry. Dave sees his work in GPN as a way to continue the relationship with some of the best of the best production companies in the US and to now be able to represent them on a global scale, making it easier for productions to get into other countries and vice versa.

Due to rapid changes in the film industry, such as AI, both Dave and Julia have a vision of integrating new and existing companies into the GPN network that can pool resources, ideas, and innovations within the network. This will help each company with their own vision of pivoting within the technology and to understand how to use the tools as they become available. With Dave being on the ground in LA and having close connections to what is going on there, GPN will have the possibility to extend its reach even further.

Julia and Dave recently came into each other’s orbit at Cannes earlier this summer. Dave was at Julia’s panel, in which on of his partners was speaking, and they met shortly after. They instantly hit it off, as Julia does with many people, and began discussing the possibility of Dave stepping into the role of US rep. Julia had long seen the need to have someone in the US industry, specifically in LA, to be a fully present rep for GPN. Dave’s experience, coupled with his familiarity and understanding of GPN, made him the perfect person to fill these shoes. This exclusive partnership marks a fresh start and strengthens our commitment to providing innovative, high-end production solutions and personal support for our clients in the US market.

Dave got into film because, like many, he was inspired by the magician Ridley Scott and the worlds he created on film. Dave was drawn to the ability to convey ideas visually, which led him first into advertising. He continued to work his way around the States in different capacities with different agencies, living in New York, Portland, Philadelphia, and LA at various times in his life. He became part of the opening of the Weiden + Kennedy office in Philadelphia as a young account executive, and one of his duties was to pick up Dan Weiden at the airport. He recalls that in these early days of his career, getting to spend time with someone as successful as Dan shaped a lot of his work ethic, understanding of the business, ways he approaches creative projects, and what makes good, great. His experience with Weiden + Kennedy provided him with an enormous amount of experience in the advertising business that he has carried with him into his own business.

He was able to leave the agency and go on and do some other things that he really loved. One of the people he really admires is Joe Pytka, whom he knows from living in Venice. Although he hasn’t gotten to be on set or film with him, he’s thrilled to be living among legends and to be so close to many creative people who also call LA home.

The amount of experience that makes up our GPN network continues to compound. We have added another treasure to our troves and are grateful that Dave is now a part of our team. The new vision of GPN, which now goes beyond solely production companies, allows us to step into uncharted territory, foster new connections, grow, go bigger, and create beautiful film pieces that are a collaboration of the best of the very best.

This year, Dave will be attending the annual AICP,, as he usually does, to mix, mingle and network with fellow producers and creatives and to make GPN more visible in the US market. We are also looking forward to what comes from his time there.

For all US matters, please contact Dave Campbell directly at dave@roguerep.com. He’s happy to field calls and get to know each of you.
